Whew! What a week!

Here is our week in review:

Monday: We traveled to Huntsville for Tom's dad's (Coach) Hall of Fame banquet.  Coach was honored for being so awesome.  John wore a tuxedo for the very first time, and he looked so handsome and so big!  We didn't make it home until late, but John had to best time and was SO good.  He has asked if we can go back to the Hall of Fame.

Tuesday: Tuesday afternoon was a "Daddy Day" for the boys: I went to the JV track meet at Mountain Brook.  They went to Chik Fil A and played and played and played.  They were all fast asleep by the time that I made it home, so it must have been a good time.  :)

Wednesday: Wednesday night we were finally all together again.  We went to our new favorite Mexican restaurant, Frontera Grill.  John says that they have the best sour cream, and he would know because he eats sour cream like it's salsa.  Anyway, we also made a trip to the pet store.  John has been a bit on the jealous side recently, so we decided to do something that would be just for him.  We are now the proud owners of a blue betta fish named...wait for it...Robert.  I don't know why, but John named this fish Robert without any hesitation.

Thursday: Happily, Thursday was an uneventful night at home.

Friday: Tom left bright and early for an elite track meet in Knoxville.  He took one of our runners who just happens to have the #1 100 meter time in the NATION!  John, Will, and I hung out until Coach and Betty came to take them to Scottsboro for the weekend since I had to go to the meet here in Birmingham.    After they left, I was home a. l. o. n. e.

Saturday: Tom is living the life at the track meet in Knoxville.  Aaron, our super fast kid, ran really well, so it was very much so worth the trip.  I spent the morning at one of the smallest track meets I have ever been to.  It was over by 1:30, and our boys won.  Yay on both accounts!  John and Will have reported in via the phone.  All is well in Scottsboro, and they are happily being spoiled as I type.

It has been a CRAZY week!  We have been rather busy, but it has been a great week full of great memories.  Tomorrow is Easter, so we will make more memories.  I promise to capture those memories with my camera.  I promise to figure out how to post pictures on here and post Easter pics and some Hall of Fame ones.

As for now, I have enjoyed my alone time, and I am ready for my family to come back home.

Quote of the week:
Again from John..."Mom, are you sick?"
Me: "Yes, John, I don't feel very well.  Can you ask Daddy to bring me something to drink?"
John: "Yeah, we can get you a Sonic swushie (slushie).  They're really good and really cold." (Cue the cold face impression.) "It will make you feel better."
Me: "Awe, John, that's sweet, but if you would just ask Daddy to bring me some water that would be great."
John: While running down the hall..."Daddy! Mom said she wants a Sonic swushie and water!"
Somebody wanted a Sonic "swushie" and it wasn't me!  Ha!
