Okay, so my original goal in starting this blog was to write once a week or once every two weeks. I am have been slacking, and this post is my official acknowledgment of it. Since school is out, did you catch that, SCHOOL IS OUT!, I hope to do better. This is not to say that I will have more free time, but I do hope to refocus and reorganize my time.
May was an awesome awesome month.
Will is now CRAWLING! He is so mischievous. Tom and I both fight the urge to say that he is going to be bad. He will do things like pull up on John's chair and turn around and look at you with the look on his face of, "Yeah, I know I shouldn't be doing this." He is hilarious though because he gets so excited that he can't contain himself and he starts jumping up and down or kicking his feet wildly. He is a precious little mess with a smile that just draws everyone in.
John is going to be in 3K. (how did this happen? he is getting waaaay too close to kindergarten!) He finished up 2k with the fabulous Ms. Lori; she is the miracle potty trainer! He loved every minute of being with her. He brought home a bag full of great crafts and work. He even let me pick one to take to school and hang up for my students to see. It is a flower made of his handprints.
John experienced a first this month. He ran in his first race, and in our family, this is a huge milestone. It didn't go as well as we would have liked since the air horn at the start just about scared him to death, but John is a proud finisher of the Zoo Run's Chicken Cha Cha. He is already talking about next year's race and how he is going to win.
I also ran in a race at the zoo, but I don't have the excuse of the air horn at the start for why I didn't win. :). I am running though, and I am happy enough about that...for now at least. We did have a family day at the zoo after all of that running, and it was a blast. Their new Africa exhibit is awesome!
Quote of the Week:
I have heard so many funny things since my last post, but sadly, I can't remember a good one right now. I will leave with this exchange because after all, it is time for a quote about Will. Here is the necessary background information: at 7 months Will has practically NO hair. The tiny little bit of peach fuzz that he does have is snow white.
Waitress at Jim N Nick's to Will- "Look at you looking like a marshmallow with that head of yours!".
